Shaw commits to conduct its business in an ethical and responsible manner that supports and respects the protection of human rights.
So what exactly does that mean? According to its website, Shaw will work to identify and do business with partners who aspire to conduct their business in a similar manner. Shaw is committed to sourcing its products from vendors who have agreed to operate their supply chains in a socially responsible manner. In particular, Shaw condemns the use of child labor, slavery and human trafficking.
Shaw requests each of its vendors to agree to comply with the laws of the countries in which they do business, including laws against child labor, slavery and human trafficking, and unsafe working conditions. This requirement is included in our Vendor Purchasing Agreement.
Shaw seeks to maintain a transparent supply chain free from human rights abuses by maintaining an active program of evaluating the potential for abuses, requiring vendors to agree to comply with the laws of the countries in which they do business, maintaining accountability for employees or vendors failing to meet these standards, and providing employee training on mitigating the risk of human rights abuses in the supply chain.
Shaw Industries Group, Inc. released its sixth annual sustainability report as part of the company’s continued commitment to transparency. The report highlights our holistic approach to sustainability as well as key programs and metrics. Learn more.
